suffering from traumas caused by generational cycles of abuse and poverty. FYI’s solution is to rescue and
protect those families and children to prevent future trauma by redirecting their paths through education,
training, and support in our multiple programs.

Family & Youth Initiatives is currently hiring a Student Mentor for our New Roots program.
Position Title: New Roots Student Mentor
Employment Status: Part-time
The New Roots Mentoring program allows caring adults to reach, encourage, and influence youth of all backgrounds and ages by teaching social-emotional skills.
We are seeking an applicant who is caring, compassionate, and motivated to reach students and help guide them through the challenges they are facing. Our lessons focus on:
Decision Making,
Leadership,
Character Building,
Stress Management,
Social and Emotional Intelligence, and more.

Family & Youth Initiatives is currently hiring a Classroom Presenter for our Real Life Choices program.
Position Title: Real Life Choices Classroom Presenter
Employment Status: Part-time
Real Life Choices is one of three main programs within the Family & Youth Initiatives organization. FYI seeks a highly motivated, energetic, outgoing person who is willing to teach sensitive material to middle and high school students. The Real Life Choices program uses the "I Decide for Me" curriculum by Clarity to teach middle and high school students in a school setting about sexual risk avoidance, STDs, teen pregnancy, pornography, internet safety, dating violence, consent, and healthy coping skills in a holistic comprehensive approach.
