Harvesting Hope 2023

Family & Youth Initiatives (FYI) invites you to join them for their annual Harvesting Hope dinner! This year promises to take a different approach to sharing more about their mission with a game show themed evening - “Let’s Make a Difference” together!

This hybrid-style event will merge the excitement of a game show with the importance of spreading awareness of how we can positively impact our community.

Every day families and children are suffering from traumas caused by generational cycles of abuse and poverty. FYI’s mission is to empower families and provide hope, rescuing and protecting those families and children to prevent future trauma by redirecting their paths through education, training, and support in our multiple programs.

Harvesting Hope attendees will be encouraged to participate in multiple fun, interactive, and informative games which effectively convey the mission while also allowing them to learn more information about the organization. Attendees will have the opportunity to either be a captive audience member or nominate themselves to actively participate in the games.

The games will vary in both style and content but the overall theme will be the same: FYI is making a positive difference and we would love for others to join us on this mission. While the evening promises to be a fun take on a fundraising dinner, the core purpose of the event is to raise awareness.

ACEs Scores: What they mean and how can we lower the scores

Between games, FYI staff and supporters will share compelling first-hand stories and their own experiences with the organization. Our hope is to shed light on the significance of the cause and the impact of expanding our support network. Through this immersive experience, attendees will leave with an evening to remember as well as a deeper understanding of why the mission matters.

Encouragement and inspiration lies at the heart of this event. Beyond financial contributions, the goal is to inspire a sense of unity and empowerment. FYI, at its very foundation, is an organization focused on helping foster positive family and community relationships. As with any community, it often takes a village to ensure that all needs are being met. The mission cannot continue without the growing support of others. Our hope is that by the end of the evening, you will be able to see how you might fit into the FYI family and walk alongside us to change the future of our families.
