Herman graduated from Xavier University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. Retired from the MITRE Corporation (45+ years) as a Sr. Information Systems Engineer, Herman is experienced in the management and engineering of large AF and DoD computer systems, strategic planning, risk mitigation, and program execution. He applies these skills in his role as chair of the FYI board. He is currently an active member, Trustee, of the Fairborn Knights of Columbus Council 3724. He enjoys gardening, mentoring, and helping others help themselves.
A graduate of Tecumseh High school, Nancy has lived in the New Carlisle/Springfield area her entire life. Nancy works for WesBanco Bank Inc., managing the Enon branch. Nancy has also served as secretary for Western Clark County Business Coalition.
Larry graduated from Purdue University with a B.S. in Aeronautical Engineering and later from California Institute of Technology with a M.S. in Aeronautical Engineering. He had an extensive 26-year career in the U.S. Air Force. After retiring from the U.S. Air Force, Larry devoted 24 years to the management of small businesses supporting the acquisition community at Wright Patterson AFB. He retired from that role in 2013 as Sr. Vice President; Dayton Division for PESystems, Inc. As a member of the FYI board, Larry hopes to offer his extensive managerial experience to further the organization’s efforts as FYI Board Treasurer.
Max is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma and holds a B.S. in Aero-Engineering. He joined the U.S. Air Force and served at Wright Patterson for 20 years. Having been trained as a Program Manager during his time in the service, Max later worked for 15 years as a PM/Programmer for Robbiins-Gioia. Max has applied his experiences to his role as FYI Board Secretary.
Barb possesses a special heart for children and education and has served faithfully as a member of the Mary, Help of Christians Church. She has offered countless hours of service as the Children's and Adult Sunday School Director and also volunteers to read to children with disabilities.
Pat retired in 2010 after 40+ years in the field of cardiology. She serves on the board of FYI because she enjoys helping people help themselves and believes in its mission to empower families and provide them hope.
Dianne brings 38 years of professional career experience to our board, having served in the fields of administration, management, and human resources. Dianne enjoys dancing and traveling, but most of all, helping others. Dianne volunteers for many other organizations and is excited about the opportunity to serve on the board and make a difference through FYI.
